Ingredients for a Funfetti Milkshake

To make this showstopping shake, here’s what you’ll need:

Optional: Wooden skewers & paper straws for serving

  • 48 oz Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
  • 6–8 Tbsp Milk (adjust to desired consistency)
  • 1 cup Hershey’s Syrup
  • 2 cups Whipped Cream (canned preferred for decorating)
  • 8 Marshmallows
  • 16 oz Vanilla Icing
  • 9 oz Funfetti Sprinkles

How to Make a Homemade Funfetti Milkshake

This no-bake dessert drink is as fun to make as it is to sip!

Step 1: Blend the Ice Cream

Add your entire tub of vanilla bean ice cream to a blender. Blend until smooth and creamy.

Step 2: Adjust the Texture

Pour in 6 to 8 tablespoons of milk, depending on how thick you want your shake. Blend again until everything is combined.

We love a thick milkshake, but if you prefer it thinner, just add more milk!

Step 3: Add the Sprinkles

Remove the blender blade and fold in ¾ of the Funfetti sprinkles (about 6–7 oz). Use a spoon or spatula to gently mix them into the milkshake. Instant party vibes!

Step 4: Decorate the Glasses

Using a spatula, spread vanilla icing around the rims of your glasses. Then dip each glass into a plate filled with sprinkles until the icing is fully coated. It’s messy—in the best way.

Step 5: Pour & Top

Fill each glass nearly to the top with your sprinkle-filled milkshake, leaving room for toppings.

Step 6: Add Whipped Cream & Chocolate Drizzle

Top with canned whipped cream (the kind that swirls beautifully).
Drizzle with Hershey’s syrup—we like to do it twice for extra height and fun!

Step 7: Finish with Marshmallows

Skewer marshmallows onto wooden sticks and place on top for a whimsical finishing touch. Pop in a festive paper straw and serve!

Serving Size 1

Ingredients

  • 48 oz of Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
  • 1 c Hershey Syrup
  • 2 c Whipped Cream
  • 8 Marshmallows
  • 16 oz. Vanilla Icing
  • 9 oz. Funfetti Sprinkles

Instructions

  • In a blender add in your tub of ice cream. Blend the ice cream until it’s smooth.
  • Once the ice cream has a smooth consistency, add in 6-8 tablespoons of milk. Blend the milk into the ice cream until incorporated.
  • We like a thicker milkshake. If you prefer a runnier milkshake you’ll obviously want to add more milk.
  • If you are using a Ninja like we did, remove the blade and add in your sprinkles. We used 3/4 of a 9 oz bottle of sprinkles for this recipe. Fold the sprinkles in with a spoon or spatula.
  • Grab the glasses that you are using and prepare the tops of them. I forgot to take pictures of this step but you can always watch the video below to see exactly how we did this step.
  • Anyhow, using a spatula spread the icing on the top of the glass. Using a flat plate dip your glass in the sprinkles until all the icing is covered.
  • Fill your glass until nearly full. You’ll want to keep some room in the cup for the whipped cream.
  • Top your funfetti milkshake with canned whipped cream. You can use the tub stuff, but I think the canned comes out looking prettier!
  • Drizzle the top of the whipped cream with chocolate syrup. We repeated this step twice so that you can a taller effect of the whipped cream (a little food styling trick for you all!).
  • Using a wooden skewer place the marshmallows on skewer, using as much or as little as you wish! Then add your straw and you are ready to enjoy your Homemade Funfetti Milkshake!
